I just haven't read what you are saying. I have heard...blu ray is a master stroke from Nvidia...lol....blu ray is a formatt...is has absolutely nothing to do with graphics or next gen gameplay...lol....and the other comment was the ps3 is the most powerful platform for our target audience...lol...what in the world is that? lol...then you look at the tech demos and it looks like a shrek wanna be game...what target audience is that? lol....Why not just say the ps3 is more powerful....why thr...

But it won't happen because they already know. They just keep repeating themselves with....well it was a master stroke to have the blu ray...lol...are you serious....sony is really hoping for their companies sake that blu ray is adopted as a formatt. So much so they put it in there console and hope people buy the ps3 to also play their blu ray movies. lol...."WE WANT GAMES"...."WE WANT THE BEST NEXT GEN GAMES"....Thank you Microsoft for delivering. 50 titles in 7 month...

I'm sorry. I respectfully disagree with you. Grand Tourismo is Sony's best selling game. But even it has fell of from GT3 to GT4. But its still the game to beat as far as racing games go. But not even half the people who bought GT3 has bought GT4. Now if you want to compare. You have to use GT4 against Halo 2. Now in that case they were both released within a couple months of eachother and yet Halo 2 outsold gt4 by alomst 2 million copies. Now take into consideration that both games ...

lol...thats hilarious. I'm the only guy on here who don't call people names. I'm the only guy on here who posts links to support everything I say. you can call my links biased...you can call them lies. But they are links and they do support what I say. All of you are fanboys. As am I. We all have opinions...as do I. But what I do that you guys don't. Is support what I say with links. you don't have to like the links. But they come from the pros. Not a fanboy telling us what he thi...

I'm sorry if my links bother you. I'm only posting facts and if it rubs you the wrong way. Move on. lol...I wouldn't have posted any of it if DJ hadn't lied about numbers with no links. I posted numbers and facts...WITH LINKS to counter his mis information. Get it? Got it? Good. Now lets move on. I made my point. With me the TRUTH will always prevail. And if it ruffles a few feathers...well, thats not my problem. I just don't want people actually taking fanboys words as facts. I p...

Show me a link stating that this game uses 4x multi sample anti aliasing...And I can show you links that show 360 games use 4x multi sampling anti aliasing. lol... Don't mis lead people with false statements with NO LINKS.

The PS3 uses Z and color compression to try to compensate for the lack of memory bandwidth. The problem with Z and color compression is that the compression breaks down quickly when rendering complex next-generation 3D scenes.

Xbox 360 has three general purpose CPU cores. The Cell processor has only one.

Xbox 360's CPUs has vector processing power on each CPU core. Each Xbox 360 core has 128 vector registers per hardware thread, with a dot product instruction, and a shared 1-MB L2 cache. The Cell processor's vector processing power is mostly on the seven DSPs.

Dot products are critical to games because they are used in 3D math to calculate vector lengths, projections, transformations,...

I'm still going to say...it will be decided with the games. Come this Christmas what console will have the most impressive games. Fans will go to there local EB games, Game Crazy, Walmart and see the games and play the games side by side and only then will any of these number comparissons mean anything. It all begins and ends with the games.

The Xbox 360 processor was designed to give game developers the power that they actually need, in an easy to use form. The Cell processor has impressive streaming floating-point power that is of limited use for games.

The majority of game code is a mixture of integer, floating-point, and vector math, with lots of branches and random memory accesses. This code is best handled by a general purpose CPU with a cache, branch predictor, and vector unit.

The Cell's seve...

The PS3 does have the additional 7 DSPs on the Cell to add more floating point ops for graphics rendering, but the Xbox 360's three general purpose cores with custom D3D and dot product instructions are more customized for true graphics related calculations.

Believe some guy named DJ who claims to know about the 360 and post numbers with no links...or the professionals at IGN, Microsoft, and ATI....I think I will believe the pro's dude. Sorry if that offends you. I don't mean to. But I do have a choice on who I believe. Right? Sure you...DJ...can say that the number are lies. But If I were to have an educated guess. I would assume that a fanboy would lie about numbers than the people who made the consoles. Especially since MS and ATI have...

HDR, alpha-blending, and anti-aliasing require even more memory bandwidth. This is why Xbox 360 has 256 GB/s bandwidth reserved just for the frame buffer. This allows the Xbox 360 GPU to do Z testing, HDR, and alpha blended color rendering with 4X MSAA at...

Xbox 360 has 278.4 GB/s of memory system bandwidth. The PS3 has less than one-fifth of Xbox 360's (48 GB/s) of total memory system bandwidth.

Microsoft and its developers know what Sony has to offer and Sony knows what Microsoft has to offer. They do this for a living. They both won't say anything that they don't feel confident about. They both know anything they say will be annalized and examined. So I listen carefully to what Sony and Microsoft say. I read between the lines cause they both can be tricky in their wording. And the both make sure what they say can be backed. I'm just waiting for sony to say..."the ps3 wi...

PS3's specs isn't a secret DJ. Any pro can take what sony has presented and do a real world comparisson. Those guys are experts in games and developement and have been leading the video game industry for years. Its not one or two people. Its many developers. There is more disc space with the blu ray. OK. We know this. But less ram that can be allocated for graphics and textures. Ok, we know that. The 360 has more flexible general purpose power than the ps3. Ok, we know that. And the...
